Tryout Information

Bay Area Lava is an established D1 AAU basketball program based in the Tri Valley area.

We have a very competitive tryout process. Tryouts are free to attend.

2026 Fall/Winter Tryouts: August 17 and August 19

2nd and 3rd Grade: 5:00 to 6:20

4th and 5th Grade: 6:20 to 7:40

6th and 7th Grade: 7:40 to 9:00

Location: St Elizabeth Church (Pleasanton)

Bay Area Lava Tryout Expectations

• Arrive 10-15 minutes early to warm-up.

• Follow instructions and retain information from the coach.

• Perform drills with maximum effort. Challenge and push your comfort zone.

• Be vocal on the court. Possess leadership qualities by encouraging teammates.

• Embrace the physicality on offense/defense and aggressively pursue rebounds and loose balls
